About Dan Theisen
Hi,
My name is Dan Theisen. I've been drawing for close to fifty years now. I'm a self taught artist. I would have prefered to persue a formal education in the arts, however earning a living and raising a family didn't allow for that, so through trial and error I have developed and continue to develope my art into what it is today. Whether that is good or bad is yet to be determined, I guess I'll leave that up to the individual, some may like it and some not. The important thing in any art is that he or she, ( the artist ), must enjoy it, if that is accomplished then I would say the artist is successful. Though most of my work is in pencil, I do venture into acrylics and photography form time to time. My growing up on a farm is more than likely the reason most of my art consists of rural landscapes. My time in the U.S. Navy is indicated by my nautical and seascape interests. As I now near retirement, my plans are to devote a considerable amount of time to my art interests. I've worked all my life, it's now nearing the time when I get to enjoy my life long dream of being a successful artist. Rather than looking back with regret that I didn't do more with my art in the past, I instead, anxiously look ahead toward what I'm going to get to do in the future. I would like to take this time to thank you for taking a look at my artwork and also to invite your comments and questions. I hope you enjoy my works as well as the works of the other artists throughout FAA.
Thank You for visiting,
Dan
